Women at Computational Methods in Engineering

The discussion about the presence of women in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM), their constant challenges and achievements, has intensified recently. A diagnosis is necessary, analyzing the situation of undergraduate and graduate courses in Brazil and worldwide. The result of this analysis is important for defining public policies that aim to create opportunities and retention strategies for women working in these areas. The exchange of experiences is also an important factor in building a more egalitarian environment in engineering courses. Actions to attract female students to STEM areas are also something that needs to be discussed.
