Abstract: Topic: Nonlinear Dynamics in Engineering Systems
This Mini-Symposium aims to create a multidisciplinary forum for discussion on recent advances in nonlinear dynamic techniques and nonlinear control (including sensitivity analysis) applied to engineering systems. It also seeks to explore new areas of development, including emerging frontiers and challenges in nonlinear dynamics and control. The symposium will provide an excellent opportunity for disseminating recent developments in analytical and numerical techniques, as well as for discussing novel phenomena and behaviors across various aspects of nonlinear dynamics and control. The symposium “Nonlinear Dynamics Analysis and Control of Vibration Systems at Macro and MEMS Scales and their Applications to Engineering” will cover, but not be limited to, the following topics:
Potential topics include, but are not limited to:
Dynamic stability, deterministic, chaotic, and random post-critical states;
Nonlinear vibration of solids and structures under moving loads;
Nonlinear dynamics, chaos, control of elastic structures;
Nonlinear engineering systems at macro and micro scales;
Nonlinear dynamic phenomena and interactions in mechanical systems and structures;
New materials and their use in innovative structural components;
Signal processing techniques in nonlinear dynamics applications;
Time-frequency analysis methods in nonlinear dynamics applications;
Vibration energy harvesting;
Control of nonlinear systems and nonlinear vibration control;
Applications of metamaterials.
