Abstract: The Mini-Symposium aims to bring together students and engineers, as well as industry, government, academia to discuss the latest advances in modeling and simulation in the automotive area. Papers will be accepted on topics such as modeling and simulation of engines and transmissions, simulation of suspension, brake and steering systems, simulation of safety systems and simulation of control and embedded electronic systems. Virtual development plays an important role in vehicle development as it can be cost-effective, time-saving and allows automakers to easily modify vehicle designs to meet specific customer needs. Selected papers will be presented during the mini-symposium and published in the proceedings of the congress. We hope that this opportunity will allow an exchange of information and ideas among researchers and contribute to the advancement of research in automotive systems.
